Merry Christmas, Pro-Birthers!
It's that wonderful time of year again when we prove just how little we care once the baby is born!
This past year, we have noticed an increase in the number of women fleeing with their babies from domestic violence.
The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence found that 85% of women who leave an abusive relationship return due to economic dependence.
For this year's Christmas Campaign, we would like to share two special mamas with you; mamas who have chosen their babies and who need a little extra help to make it after fleeing from their abusers.
Mama Olivia
This summer, Olivia fled domestic violence from her husband. She took her two young children and left. She filed a restraining order. She was pregnant with twins.
Feeling hopeless, Olivia booked an abortion and organized a ride share for herself to get there. Upon her arrival at the clinic, the ride share driver (unknown to us!) handed her a CHOICE42 card and asked her to check out our website. While she was sitting in the waiting room, Olivia looked at our website, realized that abortion is murder, canceled her appointment, walked out of the clinic, and contacted us! Praise God!
We have been walking with Olivia ever since and have been able to help in some very practical ways. We helped her avoid eviction when she lost her job due to severe morning sickness.
This Christmas, we would love to be able to cover a few more months of rent for Olivia and her four children.
Mama Leah
Leah is also pregnant with twins; a girl and a boy! She was intercepted outside of an abortion clinic by one of our contacts who referred her to us.
Leah left her abusive boyfriend whom she was completely financially dependent on. She has recently secured a job, but is finding it difficult to manage while dealing with her twin-pregnancy.
We would love to be able help support Leah and her babies this Christmas season by covering a few more months of rent for them. Leah's twins are due to be born this Christmas, but could arrive any day now!
Both of these Mamas-of-Twins are making the right choice, even though life is really hard right now. We don't want to see either of them return to an unsafe environment. Please join us in spreading some Christmas cheer, and supporting Olivia, Leah, and other CHOICE42 Mamas in their moments of need. Any amount will be so appreciated.
Merry Christmas!
