2024 was a year of firsts and milestones:

• 1st solar eclipse festival as a team
• 1st national conference as a team
• Most out-of-state outreach events we've ever hosted
• 1st time we've surpassed 20,000 visitors...and reached a total of 38,527 visitors
• 1st time we hosted 30+ sessions in a single calendar month
• Fastest we've ever reached 10,000 people at SSC (39 days)
• Most SSC programs we've ever hosted in a calendar year (233 total)

The milestones don't stop there. As we grow, we continue to learn: how can SSC best serve our local communities? What information do people want to know? How can we use the national stage we built in 2024 to carry our impact farther in the coming years?

Our role as a visible community resource allows people to approach us and ask questions, have conversations, and create new experiences and memories that may incentivize repeat visitation, or seeking similar experiences away from SSC.

Our team consists of nearly two dozen educators working in science, education, art, and other interdisciplinary fields.
