Refugees Contribute
Today, Australia is more multicultural than ever before. We live this reality in the food we eat, the music we listen to and, most importantly, the people we surround ourselves with.
And yet, there’s another way this rich cultural tapestry benefits us, which is seldom recognised.
They say that money makes the world go round. At this time of year, when we complete our tax returns and reflect back on the incomings and outgoings of the past year, it certainly feels that way. But how often do we stop to connect our financial situation to our history of welcoming people from other countries?
The entrepreneurial spirit that characterises refugee communities is perhaps unsurprising, given the resilience and courage that they have had to show in order to make it this far.
The Refugee Council of Australia is lobbying every day for better support and pathways for refugees who are searching for training and employment.
You can help more people seeking asylum and refugees to access meaningful employment and have the opportunity to give back to Australia.
Donate now. Your investment will help to us to give refugees a fair go.
