NCA Opening Year 2026

An additional $444,727 has been raised off-line from 38 additional donors.

With the hire of a Head of School and the building purchase secured, we will begin Phase I of renovations in early 2026. A historic school built in 1864 with a 1962 addition, the school has great bones – wood floors, high ceilings, blackboards, expansive windows and even a huge steel fire door. 

Phase I involves renovation of the 1962 era classrooms – four classrooms on the upper level and three classrooms on the lower level; renovating the common area and offices; and gutting the kitchen with the intention of building out a teaching kitchen later. The east side of the main lobby will be bumped out 20 feet for a new entry from the north, making space for a reception area. Extensive use of glass will allow for greater security. Our renovations will preserve the past while refurbishing for the needs of the future.
